Borrowlings

Inspired by the work of Mary Norton and Grant Howitt.

Borrowlings is a one-page roleplaying game for 3-6 players. One player takes on the role of the Big'Un, describing the action,  and the others playing as Borrowlings.

Communities of little folk live beneath the floorboards in the houses of the Big’uns. They are known as Borrowlings and their very survival depends on the brave collectors that risk their lives to explore the rooms above and bring back essential supplies. These excursions are perilous and many Borrowling lives have been lost to the dangers of the house: treacherous climbs, the king rat’s pack, vicious critters and the Big’uns themselves!

This game is all about rolling low. Small dice rolls = small problems. If you roll high, then the threat increases and your Borrowlings may not make it home...
